Professional Experience

Mr. Shimoji is the Director of our Electric Mechanical and Optics Group. His practice encompasses patent prosecution and litigation in the software, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, material science, industrial manufacturing , and medical device fields. Mr. Shimoji has particular expertise in the areas of optical apparatuses, laser systems, semiconductor devices, image processing systems, liquid crystal devices (LCDs), telecommunication systems, camera systems, silicon wafers, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, image processing systems, endoscopes, microscopes, blood investigation devices, and solar cells. Prior to joining SUGIMURA, Mr. Shimoji serves as a consultant at Fujitsu Research Institute and SRI International where he consulted with private companies in the field of technology management in light of current technologies.
