Kyoichi SAITO
Professional Experience
Mr. Saito is the Director of Patent Prosecution at our firm. His practice encompasses patent prosecution in the electrical and material science fields. Mr. Saito has particular expertise in the areas of semiconductor devices, liquid crystal devices (LCDs), electrical elements, battery cells, telecommunication devices, silicon materials, ceramic materials, and magnetic materials. Prior to joining SUGIMURA, he served as an Examiner and Appeals Examiner at the JPO where he served for almost 30 years. Mr. Saito also has experience working at the Intellectual Property High Court of Japan where he served as a Judicial Research Official. Mr. Saito’s experience at the JPO and IP High Court brings valuable insight into the internal practices of these organizations, adding to the efficacy of practical strategic advice afforded our clients.
