Professional Experience

Mr. Kosaku Sugimura is the chairman of our firm. Kosaku Sugimura is an experienced Japanese patent attorney specializing in material science, chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, trademarks, and designs. He is actively involved in the IP community and served as the president of the Japan association of Fédération Internationale de Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI) for over 30 years. In 1999, Kosaku Sugimura was awarded the Yellow Ribbon Medal by the Emperor of Japan for his contributions as a patent attorney. This award is given to a select 500 people a year to acknowledge their devotion to a specific field and their prominent contributions to society.
